Event Description
The UNC French Club and the Department of Modern Languages present: "La Grande Seduction " ("Seducing Dr. Lewis") Tuesday, September 25, 6 p.m. in Candelaria 0025.

Shown in French, with English subtitles, attendance is free and open to all. A much-needed boost, in the form of a new factory, is promised to the residents of the tiny fishing village St. Marie-La-Mauderne, Québec, on the condition that they can convince a doctor to take up full-time residency on the island. Inspired, the villagers devise a scheme to make Dr. Christopher Lewis a local.

This Québecois comedy was an official selection at the Cannes and Toronto film festivals, and winner of the Sundance Film Festival Audience Award.
