Beyond Binaries: Supporting Bisexual, Pansexual, Fluid, and Queer (BPFQ) Identified Students Webinar

Event Description:
This webinar will highlight two recent studies exploring the untold stories central to bisexual, pansexual, fluid, and queer (BPFQ) sexual identities at public four-year universities, as well as engage participants in the emergent themes, implications for campus climate, and recommendations for practice. Attendees can expect to:

  • Gain insight into nonmonosexual/BPFQ student experiences at large, public institutions
  • Engage in discussion about inclusive and affirmative language for nonmonosexual/BPFQ and all LGBTQ+ students
  • Engage in discussion about best practices used to support nonmonosexual/BPFQ college students
  • Gain practical tools and knowledge in order to support students with nonmonosexual/BPFQ identities

The webinar will be followed by a campus conversation about implications for the UNC campus. Linda Black, dean of the Graduate School and International Admissions, will facilitate.
