Event Description:
Have you thought about teaching a course abroad and connecting your course to an international experience? UNC’s Center for International Education is working to expand short-term, faculty-led programs for 2018.

At this workshop/forum, CIE will be offering a Study Abroad Faculty-Led Application Overview:
• Learn how to make your Faculty-Led a reality
• Meet with several Provider programs that can assist you in planning and promoting your course
• Learn how to support students while you are abroad
• Learn about student scholarships
• Learn how Extended Campus can assist with creating a budget and building your course in Banner

We will be joined by a guest from CEA, Kelly Wilkinson. The success of your faculty-led study abroad program depends, in great part, on the planning, marketing, and recruitment strategies you implement before you even set foot abroad. From understanding your target audience—your students—and what motivates their decisions both in and out of the classroom, to defining key communication points and delivering them to students through the right media, a little planning goes a long way. CEA will help you create this kind of program.
CEA supports programs in diverse locations:
• Argentina: Buenos Aires
• China: Shanghai
• Costa Rica: San José
• Czech Republic: Prague
• France: Aix-en-Provence, Antibes/French Riviera, Grenoble/French Alps, Paris
• Ireland: Dublin
• Italy: Florence, Rome
• Spain: Alicante, Barcelona, Granada, Madrid, Seville

Registration is encouraged for all CETL workshops; to reserve your seat contact CETL@unco.edu.
